Paddle Logger Privacy Statement

We (“Paddle Logger Ltd”) take your Privacy very seriously, the following statement governs your (the “User”) use of the Services we provide. Please take some time to read them through.

The mobile applications, websites and services (collectively, the “Services”), for use on computers, smartphones, smartwatches and associated hardwares (collectively, the “Devices”) are made available to you by Paddle Logger Limited (“Paddle Logger”, “We”, “Us”) subject to our Terms of Service (the “Terms”) and in accordance with this Privacy Statement. By accessing, using or downloading materials from our Services, you (the “User”) understand the following privacy statement. We reserve the right to update the Statement without notice to you (the “User”). If you do not agree to the following privacy statement, do not access or use the services. You can review the most current version of the Terms at any time at Terms of Service. Should a translated version of the Privacy Statement conflict with the English version, the English version controls.

Unless indicated otherwise, this Privacy Policy does not apply to third party products or services or the practices of companies that we do not own or control, including other companies you might interact with on or through the Services.

The App and Services does not collect and store any personal data, nor can we see your data and/or images unless they are shared to us by you, the User. All data and images are stored locally on your device, and/or in your private iCloud account.

The data we do collect is as follows:

1. Analytics

1.1 We may collect certain information via analytics in order to understand our audience better. This is including but not limited to, the type of mobile device used, mobile operating system, which screens are visited, and approximately how long users spend using the app. 

1.2 We cannot identify the User, nor the exact location of the User, from these analytics.

1.3 Absolutely NO personal data or images are collected or stored by us for any reason, including analytics, nor can we see user data or images at any time. It’s all stored on the User’s device.

2. Name and email address

2.1 If The User wishes to join the Paddle Logger mailing list they can opt in via the mailing list page and provide their name and email address. 

2.1.1 As of 25 May 2018 all those who wish to remain on the mailing list will have received an e-mail asking their consent to be contacted beyond this date by us. This is to comply with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2.2 These details are stored securely in MailChimp. 

2.3 This information is kept private and it is used solely for Paddle Logger mailing list purposes. It will never be shared with, or sold to any third parties.

2.4 In the event that Paddle Logger crashes, and you contact our support team name and email data is shared with us to help diagnose and resolve issues and give the best possible customer service. This is stored securely via the HelpScout System.

3. Health App

3.1 The User can opt in to send and read specific data to and from Health app for the purpose of presetting measurements. 

3.2 The User can also opt in to read specific data from Health app for the sole purpose of creating graphs with The Application. This data is limited to sleep, calories consumed, calories burned, fat consumed, sugar consumed and steps, as applicable. 

3.3. This information is stored locally on the User’s device and is not collected or stored by The Developers, nor can it be seen by The Developers.

3.4. The User has full control over which types of data (limited to the those listed in 3.1. and 3.2) are read by and sent to The Application.

3.5 Permission to send and read this data is requested on initial launch of The Application, and also on initial launch of the graph screen. The User can change these permissions at any time by going to Health app > Sources >Paddle Logger.

3.6. The User is encouraged to strengthen security of this personal data by taking reasonable steps to secure their device.

4. Data Processing

4.1. Paddle Logger only uses data you have consented for us to use.

4.1.1. This consent may be agreed by the use of the App and Services, as laid out by the Terms.

4.2. For some third-party partners, such as Google, location-based information will be shared automatically (the app uses Google Maps and shows your tracked position, for example). 

4.2.1. For others, such as social media networks, this information will only be shared with your explicit permission or if you choose to share it.

4.3. Location Data is a key element for the functionality of the App and Services.

4.3.1. To provide these location-based features Paddle Logger will use precise location data, including the real-time geographic location of your mobile device, when you use the App and Services. Unless otherwise stated this data remains on your device unless you explicitly share it as image data (Map)

5. Website

5.1. Visitors - like most website operators, Paddle Logger collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Our purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how our visitors use the site.

5.2. Paddle Logger uses industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to allow for the encryption of personal and location information during transmissions to our servers.

5.2.1. We restrict access to data to our employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve the app. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline if they fail to meet those obligations.

6. Children

6.1. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of thirteen (13) and do not target our websites to children under thirteen (13). If you are under thirteen (13), please do not use our App or Services without the express permission of your parent or guardian.

6.2. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Statement by instructing their children to never provide personal data through any of our Services without their permission.

7. Your opt-out rights

7.1. Analytics - you can stop all collection of information by The Application by uninstalling The Application.

7.2. Mailing list - automatic unsubscribe options are clearly displayed in all communications. You can also email [email protected] to request removal from the email list.

7.3 Health app - you can change the settings any time by visiting Health app > Sources > Paddle Logger.

8. Disclaimer

8.1. While we continue to work hard to protect your data, no transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure, and we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to Paddle Logger. 

8.2.Transmitting personal information is done at your own risk.

9. Privacy Policy Changes

9.1 If Paddle Logger makes changes to this privacy policy, these changes will be posted here in a timely manner.

9.2. We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently.
