Feature Update: Sharing

PRESS RELEASE 5 FEB 2024

Paddle Logger, the iOS app for paddlers, is launching a new feature that’s helping to build connections and inspire people who share a passion for paddling. You can now share your epic routes and cool photos with other paddlers, inspiring thousands of likeminded individuals, by submiAng your trips within the app and the Paddle Logger team will periodically feature these submissions on social media.

How community sharing works:

Next time you go paddling, track your route using the Paddle Logger app on either your iPhone in a waterproof case or on your Apple Watch. If you stop for any photo breaks (we know it’s hard not to sometimes), your photos from during your session are saved in your logbook with your route. We love this feature for when we’re looking back through old sessions and the photos remind us of what it was like on the water that day!

Once you’ve finished paddling, you can check out your route in your logbook along with other stats like your distance, speed, pace and heart rate. You can choose to share your paddle by tapping the Share icon just under your route map. Here, you can edit the map of the route you paddled or pick a photo from your paddle. Data from your session like your distance, :me, speed and pace are overlaid onto your map or photo. You can crop your chosen photo, change your session title, the text colour and edit a few other options.

Before you hit Share or Save to Camera Roll, remember you can now also Share with Community! By sharing your trip or photo with the community, the team behind Paddle Logger can reshare your image on their social media channels. If you also type in your Instagram handle or name, Paddle Logger can credit you so other paddlers can follow and support your paddling, building connec:ons amongst the paddling community.

Together we can create inspiration and motivation for the paddling community by sharing awesome paddling photos and route maps with others that are passionate about the water too. Discover and connect with fellow paddlers and be an inspiration to the community by showcasing your favourite spots, memories and adventures on the water.

Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or just startng your adventures, Paddle Logger invites you to share your adventures, connect with other paddlers and let your memories inspire others!
